Schedule

        This project will take a couple of months to complete. Took to make it move smoothly through these months, the project is divided into three different phases. These phases are design, construction, and testing.

 

Design Phase

        For the design phase, all the assignments and milestones have been moving very smoothly. With this, it is on track to finish this phase at the end of the quarter. Some of the major milestones that were made were the creation of this website, figure 9 section 3a, and the completion of six analyses as shown in figure 9 sections 2a through 2f.

Construction Phase

       The construction phase is the next phase of this project and it would be done in the winter quarter. Within this phase, the main goal is to build the bridge. Some of the main milestones in this phase are building the bridge truss and building the lift mechanism as shown in figure 10 section 4. While the assembly of this project is shown in figure 10 section 5. As of February 22, all the parts needed for this project have been completed.

Testing Phase

       The Testing phase is the last phase of the project and is going to be done in the spring quarter. Some of the main milestones that need to be reached are seeing if the bridge can support the 20kg and is under 85g, whether it can lift the bridge up 140mm above the original plan, and completing the report for this project. This is shown in figure 10 section 6.
